Architect George Clarke, has joined forces with awardwinning conservation and restoration experts City & Country Group, to help preserve Britain’s architectural heritage. The Channel 4 TV series ‘The Restoration Man’, sees George rescue some of the most architecturally important buildings in Britain by converting them into unique homes, a task which City & Country Group undertakes on a daily basis. Asia Pacific accolades
Hundreds of prominent property and hospitality professionals gathered at The Longemont Hotel in Shanghai recently. Here, the winners of the hotly contested Asia Pacific Property Awards and Asia Pacific Hotel Awards, both in association with Bloomberg Television, were revealed. President of the International Property Awards, Stuart Shield, said,
The event in Shanghai was a resounding success. Many happy participants claim they have made excellent connections with fellow award winners from many parts of the Asia Pacific world of property and hospitality which is exactly what the event is designed to do.
The next stage is for the top-scoring winners from each category to literally take on the world by competing against other high scoring companies from Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia. The ultimate World’s Best in each category will then be unveiled after the second stage of judging has taken place.

Number One for Formula 1
McLaren Automotive opened the doors to its first dedicated McLaren retailer, McLaren London, recently with a star-studded celebration. The opening event at One Hyde Park (the ultra-luxurious Knightsbridge development designed by Lord Rogers and masterminded by developers Nicholas and Christian Candy) was hosted by McLaren Group’s executive chairman, Ron Dennis, and Formula 1 world champions, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. Guests included leading names from the worlds of sport, entertainment and business. Mr Dennis said,
